Who are the NERD fund donors Mr Snyder?

Next Question: Will Michigan Voters Absolve Pete?

Just noticed in one of the downstate fish wraps that Pete Hoekstra is announcing his Senate challenge.

But Hoekstra reversed course after seeing a dearth of qualified candidates with statewide name recognition and fundraising ability step up to run, and a hard press from state party officials, said one top Republican source in Washington who asked not to be identified since Hoekstra has yet to make his announcement public. Such an announcement is expected soon.

A knowledgeable House Republican aide told The News that Hoekstra called Michigan House Republicans to say he was running.

Frankly, Pete Hoekstra's right about the 'who dat' name recognition problem that MI-GOP Chair, Mr. Schostak, has been facing with finding a Stabenow challenger.  Till now.  Although, this big name does came with one caveat...

Will Michigan voters find a way to absolve Pete from what many, if not most, call the indefensible?

    Ya, it's a real quagmire.

    What do you say?

Really? You would consider voting for Socialist Debbie and her "Green Jobs" redistribution of wealth over Hoekstra??

    Ah...and that is the difficulty.

This is assuming a lot, but let's just say that it is Pete Hoekstra that the GOP ultimately puts up against Ms. Lipstick in the general election.

How can I cast a vote for Hoekstra (who is obviously the better choice between the two) without giving Hoekstra the impression that I supported him on the bailout?  I'm tired of my vote being taken for granted by a party that simply assumes I'll fall in line because I don't have a better choice.  I'm also sick and tired of pondering tossing my vote away on a third party or write-in candidate that has no chance of winning.

Any chance one of you would like to rid our state of Stab-a-cow?

    I'll tell you what I'd like to see. (none / 0) (#8)

Besides Roug or CS beat the tar out of Debbie Spenditall (if either of you do decide to, you've got help from this corner of the state), I'd love to see an honest to goodness debate between ALL of the candidates for US Senate in 2012.

None of this ducking the interviews and hard questions like we had from a certain candidate who shall remain nameless.

And considering what a pooch-screw last year's debate and election coverage was, WE can do better.

Any thoughts on dates, format and locations?
