Who are the NERD fund donors Mr Snyder?

    Raise the curtain.

    Buddy, have you got $327-million?

    Detroit's got some problems.

Many of you will be quick to say, "Well, what was your first clue?"

This is going a little beyond that, including some disturbing comments from Lansing leaders on how to address their latest problem.

    {Click below to continue reading.}

At a meeting in Downtown Detroit, Michigan Schools Superintendent Mike Flanagan spoke before SEMCOG and the Metropolitan Affairs Coalition about the DPS's latest debacle: a $327-million deficit.

Responding to comments made my Community <strike>agitator</strike> Organizer Malik Shabazz, Superintendent Flanagan said:

"...the state can't expect the $327-million deficit to be completely resolved "on the local dollar."

"We have to try to work out a plan where part of this will be resolved in a different way," he said. "It can't be resolved on the backs of kids."

    I'm sorry?

Tell me again why this deficit is the responsibility of anyone from outside of Detroit?

It's because of those nasty state takeovers that have left Detroit is bad financial shape.

Obviously Mr. Shabazz and those who think like him never thought about looking in the mirror for a change. This coming from a city that, among other things, recently (and knowingly) elected a functional illiterate to the Detroit School Board.

Sorry, but my "Give a Damn" is in the shop.

I see these comments made by a state bureaucrat as yet another facet of Gov. Snyder's plan that Jason had mentioned last Saturday.

That didn't get very far off the ground here.

I doubt it will anywhere else, either.

It's time for a new direction.

Gov. Snyder was more than willing to perpetuate the status quo with his Detroit-only tax hikes, and now we've got someone else hinting at more money being thrown the rat hole?

What does it take for him and his acolytes to realize that they're not solving anything, only merely delaying the inevitable.

We need a leader to reach down deep and have the wherewithall to tell Detroit that they're cut off from our wallets.

It won't be easy nor will it be pretty.

But the best thing that can be done here is to just let the system collapse on its own. Find out those responsible for making the decisions that led the district to this point and give them an all expense paid trip to the county jail. Have AG Schuette bring them up on the appropriate charges. The state can then go in again and reorganize the district.

Or, you can continue to prop up the status quo?

    It's time to choose.

Black Panther Party and boss of the thug trash that intimidated Philadelphia voters in 2008 (and who were let off the hook by another africanhyphenamerican fuehrer named Eric Holder) will not be happy with $327 million, billion or trillion in reparations dollars. Africanhyphenamericans can never be paid enough of the the loot...er, uh tax dollars in Zulu world.

In an ideal world which does not exist in Michigan, Gov. Gran....er, uh Snyder would be thrown out at the end of one term and a candidate elected in his place that does not think that the racists and rentamobs of Detroit are more important than the rest of us. Candidate Snyder was often on the Mildred Gaddis WCHB AM radio program during the campaign last year and was always greeted with deference by the inflammatory Gaddis and her even more inflammatory regular listeners. (Not so with the black man named Bob Young who was running for reelection to the State Supreme Court and who was skewered by caller after caller when he guested.) IMO Snyder is pushing the NTIC, aka DRIC, aka Rashida Tlaib Commemorative Bridge because government money has to be spent on goonion (thanks for that CS) "workers" who, in the case of a Detroit job, will often be africanhyphenamerican Detroiters. Snyder learned well from the Coolman Young/RINO Milliken relationship.

Speaking strictly from a political standpoint, why does Snyder give a damn about Detroit constituents? THEY WILL NEVER VOTE FOR YOU. Yet here's another one of his minions talking about the importance of confiscating more money from taxpayers and handing it over to third-world politicians and administrators who will use it for a lot of things -- vacations, pieces of art, Escalades -- but definitely not for the purpose of educating children. We have seen this happen over and over again, yet once again we are told that impending doom is around the corner if we don't prop up a school district that graduates less than 25% of it's students.

Mr. Flanagan, stick to things that can be repaired. DPS is not one of them. Show a little backbone and announce that the state of Michigan's taxpayers can no longer support a corrupt and failed institution.
