Who are the NERD fund donors Mr Snyder?

    Raise the curtain.

    Because we must know.

    Does THIS:
Moroun, 84, and Stamper, 62, were sent to jail Thursday as punishment for their company being found in contempt of court. Judge Prentis Edwards said Detroit International Bridge Co. repeatedly failed to follow his orders to work with the state of Michigan and get the Gateway Project done.

have anything to do with THIS?
The son of a Detroit judge who is set to impose contempt of court penalties against Ambassador Bridge owner Matty Moroun has been appointed to the bench by Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder.

Somebody has some splainin to do.

It likely won't be Mr Moroun.

For the sake of integrity in the bench, perhaps in the executive branch in Lansing, I want to see a really good reason.  I am really seriously shaken by this if it is true.

I know one fan of this site whom I hope would take a look at this.  I pray there is no quid pro quo, but for the life of me I cannot get over what would have to be the crappiest coincidence in Michigan political history.

He should have drawn on his vast experience to recognize an OBVIOUS conflict.  Now its going to be a mess.

Anecdotal I know, but: Whenever I can which is a couple of times a week for a half hour or so when I'm in radio range, I tune in to WCHB AM's (1200 AM) Mildred Gaddis radio show just to hear the the perspective of the "community". Gaddis herself doesn't say much that is blantantly racist, but it's not surprising that a significant number of her callers believe all "europeans" are engaged in some giant conspiracy against the "community". I've heard two white callers get thru in the last couple of years, one was listened to politely while he made his point then cut off without comment; the other was a whiny lieberal who was crying with joy at the election of maobama, and who, in her words, "made my day."

Snyder was a frequent guest on her show during the 2010 election cycle and was always treated in a friendly manner in my experience. I encountered him much more often then Berg Vernero. Snyder's political daddies include Milquetoast Milliken who enjoyed a friendly relationship with the late Coleman A. Young. The politically powerful Young did not make effort to turn out the africanhyphenamerican vote against Milliken during reelection bids. (This isn't just RushLake's opinion, it has been frequently written about over the years). So perhaps, it was deja-milquetoast all over again? The modern day ahyphena fuehrers in Detroit knew that the climate was not right in the wake of clueless Jenny to elect another marxist, so why not the next best thing? A lot of democrat politicans had been involved in the planning for the "people's" bridge to Canada during the Clueless administration as we know. At any rate, Detroit's leaders didn't work hard to turn out Detroit's vote to try to block a Clueless Light candidate for governor. Nerd boy indicates he'll get the workers their bridge project with a bunch of other people's money to throw at it so they can bes makin' that good goonion money including overtime and we're off to the raci...er, uh races.

There are other reasons to be sure. Apparently Maroun and Snyder were never likely to be spit swapping buddies. Capitalist Jews who don't openly suck up to politician's marxist leaning constituencies are not highly regarded in the "community" like the New York and Hollywood liberal Jews tend to be....and/or Karl Lenin.   Cynically, perhaps, Snyder has demonstrated that he holds no regard for private property and will gladly take private property in the form of taxes to achieve his ends. And just maybe, Karl Lenin could someday in Snyder's lifetime actually decide to retire from the Senate, and Snyder, without serious opposition from the "community" and with his street creds in the "community" moves on up to the big time? Cynical about Snyder and his motives? You betcha.

Note: Gaddis will not be joining the goonion thugs demonstrating outside Snyder's Superior Township home Monday next. She's conveniently leading her annual down for the struggle bus tour to Columbia, South Carolina to protest the Confederate Flag which apparently is displayed on the State House grounds. She'll be joined there by that great "Jeffersonian Liberal", Eric Holder and the traveling reverund show.

    Whuatttt!

    Whuattttttttttt!

But before people get themselves all worked up and ready to stomp a mudhole into that evil Mr. Roger's sitting in the governor's office for his hand in this, Matty isn't exactly totally innocent here either.

People are forgetting that his company signed a contract several years ago to fulfill certain things during the Gateway Project around the Ambassador Bridge.

While the bulk of the work was being done, traffic was re-routed around the bridge to facilitate the completion of the project. If you think traffic backups are bad in a car, try it in a semi.

During construction, traffic was re-routed around the fuel pumps near the bridge and the duty-free store as well.

Guess, what that did for the Bridge Company's bottom line?

Now that the bulk of the work is done, they don't want to lose that revenue stream.

    I really can't blame them.

I can see things from their financial end, but a contract is a contract.

For those not familiar with the area, aside from the roadblocks, there are large sections of bridgework leading to and from the Ambassador Bridge that are not completed.

For the Moroun's or anyone working for them to claim that their work is done is disingenuous, at best.

And on that much, I agree with the judge 100% on this one.

It's amazing how easily some can be duped on this.  Moroun has completed exactly what was "contractually" agreed to and ordered by Edwards.

It is blatantly obvious what Snyderholm is doing.

Judge Edwards, he is another pawn, a tool to be used in the game as well. The tragedy is that he probably doesn't know it either. As an example, I'm ashamed to admit that I never understood my role as a pawn in STOPDRTP until many years after. That is what opened up my eyes to what was going on in the border file

It always interested me how his hearings took place around the same time as a monumental event was to take place. Take January 12, 2012 as an example. The Media had been primed for a big announcement at the Car show by the Governerd's Office. What else could it be other than the border file? Of course it was not made but the media were worked up about it. Then the contempt hearing today with the full gallery.

Seriously, who is really surprised about what Judge Edwards did. Next week, oh my goodness, an early State of the State speech in which no doubt the Governerd will endrun the Legislature. Who can now stand up and oppose his actions after those nasty Bridge Company people are in jail or contempt.  Who would dare and suffer the media slings and arrows in an election year.  Well played huh/eh!

I am sorry but I don't understand how the US legal system works so my comments may be inappropriate. However, I used to litigate and I have never seen a judge make such decisions based on affidavits and without a full trial with witnesses under oath and cross-examinations (and in the US I assume that there would be a jury) when there are so many contentious issues in dispute.

That's right.  And I hope the Moroun family throws a few legalese pit bulls on this corrupt judge and a few legislators get off their dead asses and look into this Snyderholm appointment.

Is Judge Edwards supposed to recuse himself from any case that Snyder is remotely connected to from now on?  That would rule out just about any case involving someone in the executive branch of the state government.

Then the chairman emeritus of the North American International Auto Show, Detroit money-bomb Tenure Commission trail cover.

    Nice and tidy, eh?

Rick Snyder.  Worst Michigan governor ever.  ...coming off of two miserable terms of Granholm, that's really saying something.
