There will be a panel discussion at the Troy Community Center on the Upcoming DIA Tax on July 26th (this Thursday) beginning at 7:30pm.

We're already getting a glimpse of what will happen if they are able to shake us down.

Find out the rest of the story.

Here's a hint: Contrary to what Art Tax Supporters claim, it's not just for the children.

The Panel Moderator will Doug Tietz, Troy City Councilman

    Panel Members will include:

Henry Payne, Detroit News / Michigan View.com

    Tom McMillin, CPA, State Representative

    Robert Gosselin, County Commissioner

    Simon Haddad, Michigan Taxpayers Alliance

On the August 7 citizens in Macomb, Oakland, and Wayne county will be asked to pass a 10 year millage to subsidize Detroit Institute of Arts (DIA). Unfortunately, the public doesn't know all the facts about this tax.

What is it the DIA and their supporters don't want you to know about?

    Find out more this Thursday.

Hopefully, we will also find out which republicans are opposing Rep. McMillin's efforts to defeat this tax behind the scenes.

Yes, True Believers. You've heard correctly. There are republicans, besides Brooks, who are apparently in favor of this tax.

Could it possibly be 2012 DIA elected Broad Member, Amb. Ronald Weiser?

Or, howsa 'bout DIA Honorary Director John Rakolta Jr., and Emeritus Director Kenneth Eisenberg?

Maybe Gov Snydholm buddy Philip H. Power, just to name some more?

All the tax hiking GOP are gathered here.
