Who are the NERD fund donors Mr Snyder?

    Raise the curtain.

    One Week Away

For many, this week will be an especially long one.

Count me as one of those watching the clock tick away till Tuesday.

As many might know already, the first financials are out.  In the 104th district race, if one was to look at the money spent, and figured all that mattered was how much each candidate used, then one might think that the establishment wins yet another time.  No amount of financial paint however, can pretty up the big government ways of the 104th district incumbent, and frankly folks are beginning to wise up.

Looking at the financials, a $76k expenditure is impressive, a $95K fund raise even more so.  But the base of support is maybe not so good for a four year incumbent. Most of the donations are lobbying PACS, law firms, and chamber entities including the often screwed up Detroit chamber. In fact looking at the collection, I may have driven part of the fundraising effort for him.  They sure want him back.  Bad.

But its up to the people who vote.

After personally reaching (mostly lit drop) about 950 doors in the last 4 days alone, any feedback I have gotten indicates a mood for changing up.  Printer's tired, but I'm not.

    Yet.  And I have help.

    Go get 'em . . . (5.00 / 1) (#1)

. . . You may remember my assertion from two years ago (still true) that, all other things being equal, grassroots will override greenbacks every time.

Beyond annoyed that the iCaucus of Michigan wasn't able to get involved in your primary (and further beyond annoyed that the reasons that we weren't able to is the same reasons that compelled a state leadership reshuffle last month).

I've spent the past two days (and will again today) pushing a GOTV effort in my voting precinct.  The principal reason is that I have a contested primary . . . for precinct delegate.
