Americans for Prosperity - Michigan to Offer Flint-Area Drivers Gas at $1.84 Per Gallon, Monday

Gas promotion part of the group's Obama's Failing Agenda bus tour

LANSING, MI - Americans for Prosperity-Michigan will offer Flint-area drivers gasoline at $1.84 per gallon* -- the cost of gas four years ago when President Obama took office. The promotion begins this Monday, October 1st, at 2:30 p.m., at the Beacon & Bridge gas station located at the Mt. Morris exit off I-75, just north of Flint.  Scott Hagerstrom, state director of Americans for Prosperity-Michigan said

"We want to remind people what the true cost of President Obama's failed green energy policies has been. President Obama has made it more expensive for Michigan families to drive to work, take our children to school and sporting events, and make trips to the grocery store."

    WHO: Americans for Prosperity-Michigan
WHAT: Obama's Failing Agenda, $1.84 gasoline promotion (Note: gasoline will be offered on a first come, first serve basis. Reduced-price gas will be limited to the first 150 vehicles, with each vehicle being limited to 15 gallons)
WHEN: Monday, October 1st, beginning at 2:30 p.m.
WHERE: Beacon & Bridge, Mt. Morris exit off I-75, just north of Flint, 4181 W. Mt. Morris Rd., Mt. Morris Township, MI 48458

    Hagerstrom continued

"The President claims to have an `all of the above' energy policy, yet his Administration has rescinded oil and gas leases and held up oil permits with bureaucratic red tape. Average retail gasoline prices have more than doubled under President Obama. That has caused Michiganders pain at the pump, but also increased the cost of consumer goods such as groceries."

The Obama's Failing Agenda bus tour will educate Americans on the most harmful aspects of President Obama's big-government agenda, and help put grassroots pressure on politicians to turn away from these destructive policies. The stop in Flint will include educational information and a petition addressed to the President for citizens to complete.

The Failing Agenda bus tour is an issue advocacy effort by Americans for Prosperity and does not expressly advocate for the success or defeat of any candidate for public office. More information is available at http://www.FailingAgenda.com

Americans for Prosperity-Michigan is a statewide organization of 75,000 activists committed to strengthening our constitutional government, establishing fiscal restraint, and giving taxpayers greater control over government. We are dedicated to recruiting, training, educating and motivating grassroots activists to be effective in their own communities. Americans for Prosperity does not support or oppose candidates for public office.

Don't get me wrong, I like the work the AFP has done, but Flint???

They would have better luck convincing people in front of this place to change their minds.

And yes, it is still in business (I drove by it a few days ago).
