    "We were trying to do something thoughtful to honor President Coleman for her service to the university and athletic department and unfortunately the sound system backfired on us," athletic director Dave Brandon said in a written statement.

    Backfired?  That's been happening allot around there, ya jackasses.

    Got an audio guy here who says it sounded like she was trying to compensate for headset timing.  

    Funny as hell, but plausible explanation.

    I will concede that given the seriously messed up policy decisions made at U of M, she could easily have been on crack most of the time.

    ...others have no difficulty speaking in that very same stadium, yet when someone of her "education and experience" gets in front of a mike, things go all fubar'd on them?

    I wouldn't go so far as crack (I've seen enough of that on the west side this week), but I most definitely wouldn't rule out the sauce.
