    Kuznicki Dissection Of Calley's Propaganda

"Hey I'm your Brother" said Cain to Abel before dispatching him.

    And THAT was "family".

In defense of Republicans who have sold out to Obamacare expansion in Michigan, Lt. Guv Brian Calley issued a letter that attempts to re-unify Republicans who have felt the knife of betrayal from Michigan's executive branch and legislature these past two weeks.  The plea to accept Obamacare "as the law of the land" frankly falls on deaf ears, and his words add insult to injury when saying there is a conservative argument for passage.

No  really there is no such thing.

And Jen Kuznicki does a fine job of pointing it out.  She breaks down into sections his screed, and analyzes the mental disconnect that is being argued.  At one point noting his argument of being a conservative:

I have always been a principled conservative voice inside the administration, but when the Governor makes a decision I will support and help implement that decision.

It is telling that although Lt. Governor believes himself to be a principled conservative voice, he uses the word `but', as if he knows it is not a principled position to stand with the Governor on this issue."

Me thinks she has a point.

Its a sad day when the poison from our own flag bearers can so corrupt the conscious decisions of those who would otherwise be considered conservative to a point where they are no better than those who pass all manner of progressive policy.  Its hurtful to watch grown men insinuate that they HAVE TO back such heresy for the good of the party.

Interesting talking points used by the 'Lil Guv. (5.00 / 2) (#2)

Several days ago, I attended an "informational" seminar put on by the local state senator on the Affordable Care Act (the AARP rep giving the presentation ABSOLUTELY hated the term Obamacare and claimed that prevented people from obtaining "unbiased" information on the subject).

Several things that I found interesting in what the democrats & 'Lil Guv like to use:

    - "It is the law of the land."

What are the odds that a democrat and a "republican" would use the exact same argument?

There are many laws on the books that fly in the face of limited government. Should everyone just be a docile, unquestioning and obedient little slaves just because the Chief Justice was off of his meds that day?

    Which leads us to...

    - "Our elected officials have decided that it is in our best interest to require everyone to purchase health insurance."

    Holy parental guidance, Batman!

When did the people we elect to represent us, get off thinking that this automatically allows them to tell their bosses what to do?

    One more doozy...

    - "We will be saving money with Snydercaid medicaid expansion."

    I really love this argument.

I can save money by spending money that I didn't really need to spend in the first place.

Wrap your brain around that for a second.

And those are just SOME of the examples of the talking points that happen to "coincidentally" overlap.

There were actually several more I haven't posted.
