Umm you might want to get on the phone with your congressman's office...  NOW.  In fact light up Levin's and Stabenows lines while you're at it.

A 27 page report outlining cost and benefit of the Baucus plan (with NO public option)is now available. (click on the image below to download, and grab the closest barf bag.)

The CBO analysis determines that there is no addition to the Deficit:

On a preliminary basis, CBO and JCT estimate that the proposal's specifications affecting health insurance coverage would result in a net increase in federal deficits of $518 billion over fiscal years 2010 through 2019. That estimate primarily reflects $345 billion in additional federal outlays for Medicaid and CHIP and $461 billion in federal subsidies that would be provided to purchase coverage through the new insurance exchanges and related spending.

The other main element of the coverage provisions that would increase federal deficits is the tax credit for small employers who offer health insurance, which is estimated to reduce revenues by $23 billion over 10 years. Those costs would be partly offset by receipts or savings, totaling $311 billion over the 10-year budget window, from four sources: net revenues from the excise tax on high premium insurance plans, totaling $201 billion; penalty payments by uninsured individuals, which would amount to $4 billion; penalty payments by employers whose workers received subsidies via the exchanges, which would total $23 billion; and other budgetary effects, mostly on tax revenues, associated with the expansion of federally subsidized insurance, which would reduce deficits by $83 billion.

OK..  So you all get this right?  High price plans get hit, and you go to Jail if you want to tell the feds to suck eggs when the fine is levied for your not buying insurance.

    It gets worse.

As the news reports have suggested, this bill as presented to the CBO for analysis is likely NOT the end, as a public option will be snuck in through procedural shenanigans.  A public option makes the deficit neutrality or "lessening" feature of THIS particular legislation disappear.

    But THATS NOT ALL FOLKS!

It has been suggested that the remaining persons NOT covered by this legislation (Illegal immigrants) will eventually be covered ANYHOW through a series of court cases built on a supreme court decision which uses the word "population" as opposed to "citizens" under the 14th Amendment. - I am searching for the decision.. help?

Is it at all acceptable that the deception used to hide the fact there WILL be larger deficits behind the FAUX bill the CBO says is harmless?  Using the CBO's report in this manner is deceptive at best.  This is misdirection..  yet even this "misdirection" carries the high price of increased taxes through your current health care plans.

And yes UNION leadership, membership and lackeys.. they'll be coming for yours too.  They will have to, because by the time the bill clears its final hurdles, it will be three times as pricey.

    Stay tuned...

We are turning into a nation of suckers.

This stuff is proven by history to fail every time it is tried.  It cannot succeed, not because I say that it cannot, but because economic laws say that it cannot.  These morons think that if they drop an apple often enough one of these times it will fall upward.

What's the point of even teaching history or economics or social studies in school these days if the meanings and lessons that could be learned from such subjects are cast aside by government puppeteers in favor of an economic abomination?

Even if it would work (which it cannot,) isn't freedom worth something?

    What a bunch of sheep.
