Yes, just a scant two days after re-acknowledging something that we already knew (that Congress never reads the bills that they vote upon), the good representatives displays an amazing level of hubris with his latest statement.

Since reading 1,000+ page legislation, is too hard for the guy, I'd hate to recommend that he read the 4,543 contained in the U.S. Constitution.

But given his latest statement, he just might have to.

What were James Madison, Benjamin Franklin and Al Hamilton thinking by NOT including this?!?

After hearing a statement like that from an elected official who should know better, I fear for the Republic.

Every time this man opens his mouth something stupid falls out. Ive laughed out loud so many times over his willingness to look foolish in public that Ive built up an immunity.  No wonder he has only been reelected about 20 times.

Now, with his trophy wife hanging out here in Michigan with no job to keep her busy she will have little else to do except henpeck the hubby when he travels back home.  For some reason I dont see him resigning this gig after only 21 terms.

I used to think that having a drivers license was a "right" as well.

There's nothin' wrong with privileges. I'm all for 'em. I still have a few. I'm all for "rights" too but I don't seem to have as many of those.  The problem arises when one doesn't know the difference.

I know what it feels like to be wrong. Flat wrong. How you stand it in such great measure is amazing.

As to law, it's not my job to know. Ignorance is still not an excuse.

Conyers, hon, this is your freaking job we're talking about. You're pampered and privileged with many benefits to do this job. You've been in this position for years, you're an attorney, staff and resources up the wazoo, so you got me. I can't figure your excuse.

Obviously, you have no excuse. You like to sound slow, burdened down, and preyed upon. Not with your benefits, privileges, and "rights." ! The truth is you have an agenda, an ideology, and a lack of respect for individual rights due your group think. You are part of the privileged class rather then a public servant. As usual you've got it bass ackwards!
