    There is no provision in the US Constitution that allows for the recall of holders of elected Federal Office such as Congressional Representitive and Senator. State law does not apply in these cases even if there is a State Constitutional provision for recall it pertains to State Office holders only. An amendment would have to offered and ratified by 2/3 of the states in order to provide for this action. I would love to see this happen along with term limits for all elected and appointed federal positions. This would include members of Congress, Federal Judges including Surpeme Court appointees and even President and Vice President. Recall can have a very good effect on the behavior of the elected class. But when coupled with term limits we can end the hold of the permanant political class on the throat of this nation. Return to the idea of the citizen legislator and end the dirty deals and back room alliances that serve the few to the detriment of the many.
