RGMN - Getting the Message Right (Part 2)

Continuing the series (see Part 1), here's Part 2:

As noted previously, the radicals behind this risky proposal will deceitfully focus on one or two selling points.  This Trojan Horse packs a lot of hidden surprises.

Let's dig into two areas of impact:

More Stolen Elections & Vote Fraud
    Faux Government Reform

As always, add your messaging recommendations to the mix!

More Stolen Elections and Vote Fraud:

    10)    Creates more voter fraud opportunity and further weakens participatory democracy by providing for no-reason absentee balloting.

    11)    Prohibits illegal aliens from voting (which is already illegal) but it thrown in there for political purposes.  If this proposal passes, union bosses will just organize them to vote-by-mail.

    12)    Makes taxpayers fund a costly and environmentally unfriendly paper-trail of ballots. (Which incidentally is already law in Michigan, but the Democrats haven't updated their talking-points since Florida 2000.)

    13)    Creates an unelected, unaccountable Elections Office, staffed by unionized government goons.

    14)    Creates an unelected, unaccountable redistricting commission.

    15)    Let's the legislature enforce the integrity of their own elections.

    Faux Government Reform:

    16)    Constitutionally requires retirement and medical benefits of future state elected officials to be as costly as those of state classified civil service employees.  (A constitutional amendment would be required to lower this taxpayer burden.)

    17)    Proposes a one-time reduction in legislative salaries to 2000 levels.  Essentially providing a constitutionally mandated minimum level of pay for lawmakers, allowing for unlimited pay raises in the future.

    18)    Ends competition for lobbyists by prohibiting former legislators and appointed executive branch officials from lobbying for two years after leaving office.

    19)    Open financial records of the state legislature for public inspection.  They already are, can you say: deception.

    20)    It grows the size of government, enlarging each state agency and making each bureaucracy more unmanageable by merging all departments into 18 agencies or less and caps the number of state boards at 200 without limiting their overall membership.

    21)    Requires Michigan taxpayers fund ten new circuit court judgeships (and their staff).

    22)    Creates a constitutional minimum salary for judges. (A constitutional amendment would be required to lower this taxpayer burden.)

    23)    Creates an unelected, unaccountable Judicial Tenure Commission with Judicial Performance Commission.  (Essentially allowing political cronies to compensate their friends at different rates than other judges.)

    24)    Opens justices and judges to blackmail by forcing them to file financial disclosure statements.

    25)    Stifles, if not kills, all future job creation by creating legal standing for every environmental activist to bring frivolous law suits against Michigan job.

    26)    Allows un-elected state bureaucrats to hike fees on the Mackinac Bridge by eliminating the Mackinac Bridge Authority.

Again, feel free to add your guidance to the mix!

That I can think of at this time is maybe give citations for each example you bring up. It makes it much more solid. Other than that, great work!

Republicons are against allowing people to vote absentee unless they meet some government imposed reason. Republicons are for keeping legislators salaries as one of the highest in the country. Republicons want to make sure that former legislators get the chance to turn the legislative experience into a big dollar lobbying gig. Republicons are for reform? Nope, you've made it clear that you're not.
