Tomorrow I begin volunteering for the GT GOP at the county fair in Traverse City.

    Why?

Because our legislative team will have to be smarter and more conservative than ever, and the lack of liberal legislators lessens the opportunity for progressive measures to wind up on the governor's desk.  The best bet for avoiding any new taxes, or any new crony capitalism is a strong conscience in the State house and senate.  When voting, It is critical that hand sitting does NOT happen with regard to our State Rep and State Senate candidates.

I will happily hand out the support material for all candidates and talk about our selected conservative Republicans running for those races.  Volunteers for post primary activities can leave contact information and we can put together a winning plan. 2-6pm..  See you there?

I've had some time to chew over the ballot this fall and I think I may end up throwing my vote for governor to one of the lesser knowns.  I just can't seem to bring myself to porking a chad for either Geoffrey Fieger Light or emperor berNero.

However, the congresscritters that have been allowed to create the fuggin' progressive wet dream, err, mess...  Have.  To.  Go.

What that means for me is that any so-called 'public servant' that is in office needs to be thrown out on his or her ass.  I don't care if they have an imaginary 'perfect voting record' for the past 15-20 years.... that, in itself, is thee problem.  Every damn one of them check in the roach motel known as DC... but they don't check out.

I thank my lucky stars that in '92 we passed Section 54 of Article IV in Lansing.  With watching how the primary went, the herd would've prolly put the MoleRattler back in for another four years if they had the opportunity.

Newt and the boys promised us term limits among other things. Still waiting on that one. Along with getting rid of the IRS and the Department of Indoctrination.
Term limits better by God be a prime goal of the new Congress. If not we are in for the same old crap. Republicans get in for a while and get comfy taking a little here and a little there. Then the folks get pissed and toss them out in favor of the Commie Lib Progressives. Then they get about 4-6 years to erode our freedoms and liberties a bit more.
The old excuse that " We need to be here long enough to learn the ropes" won't fly any longer. Because once they learn the ropes WE THE PEOPLE are the ones that always end up getting hung. Term limits have to be a goal of the National party and we need to get a part time legistature in Lansing such as they have in Texas. They meet for 120 days every other year. That way they don't have as much time to cause to much mischieve. We have the means to put the reins on these hacks. It is called the Constitutional Amendment process. Not perfect and pretty slow but we can do it. Right now I think the folks are ready for it. Might want to strike while the iron is hot.
