Who are the NERD fund donors Mr Snyder?

    Raise the curtain.

    Thursday Feature - Red Lights

When Wayne Schmidt says Red Light Cameras are just a tool, he validates the word"tool" as something that has an appropriate place in the conversation.

Why is it that government must constantly move the line in the sand in a way that chips away at our liberties?  Why do we continue to elect those who are so readily available and capitulating to the Lansing and National parasites which outnumber them 8 to 1?

Schmidt didn't write this legislation any more than he built Cobo Hall with his bare hands.  This is likely template legislation provided by ATS to Schmidt, and the reward for being such a bold legislator remains a mystery.

Any dummy that follows him into this rabbit hole just adds another reason to distrust our legislators' ability to learn from history.

This is exactly what happens when a government does not fear its People.

"...they won't be receiving less money. They won't have an opportunity to receive more money." - Peter Pettalia

Says everything that needs to be heard.  Good luck trying to recover your supporting vote from me, Peter.

And, ya, the 104th must be so proud to have sent Wayne back for another term to secure his lifetime government taxpayer provided pension, and healthcare benefits.

You can't say you didn't give the incumbent slush-fund monies backing Wayne, a descent primary run, J-man.  You did.  It burned a much needed hole in Team R's campaign pocket, and now the ShowStak MI-GOP has their Show Pony lapdog for Bolger, out there dragging them down with shakedown schemes like this that'll ultimately turn votes for Lon's peeps.  If the same results happen with Nerdpublicans, one might as well get some handouts from Team D soaking the DeVos types to pay for it.

Sad state of Lansing government, but that is how many out there busy with Life 101, paying their bills, trying to find some sanity when they can only to be fleeced at every turn view it, and I don't blame them for that anymore.

Rep Stallworth might want to be careful... (none / 0) (#5)

    ...with what he is advocating.

Most Detroiters are NLNC (No license, no coverage), and won't be very happy if they get a ticket in the mail from his "solution".

Doesn't bode well when he runs for re-election.

One of the advantages of being on the road alot... (none / 0) (#6)

...you pick up on some interesting news stories in other parts of the country.

This one deals with why anyone pushing traffic cameras SHOULD NEVER be trusted.
