One cannot turn on the news it seems without wondering how the reality shows that have captivated so many over the years escaped the television and made it to one of the most important events we patronize.

Each political event happening daily, further embellished by speculation or commentary of the trained pundits of pop culture.  Each misstep of the character of the day amplified by the 24 hour news cycle stacking opinion for a better view of the tragedy that is sometimes humanity.  Not in that we fail, but rather that we titillate and secret our joy about the failures that bring about a new player in the game of the day.  Somehow our darkened souls must find comfort in the perpetual failings that only a well oiled machinery of media attention can accentuate.

    We have reached the bottom.

I do not intend to remain at there however.  I will not sit idly by while the character of good folk continues to be sacrificed to create the drama for next week's lust for tragedy.

I ask each of you to consider what happens if the Marxist in the white house is allowed to desecrate our great country beyond 2012.  Between his utter disregard for the Congress, our constitution, or private property, a term fully hardened by a "mandate" of a win, would mean the end of the US as we know it.

    Go below.

There are plenty of candidates from which to choose

    • If you think Romney, who has not only spoken to both sides of core issues, but has also operated such constitutional subterfuge as his own health care 'requirement' is the guy to replace Obama, you aren't paying attention.
    • Newt? Mr gingrich has been quite all over the place himself, being on both sides of immigration, health care, AND global warming.  How can we trust that?
    • Perry has been seen as a tea party favorite, but what about instincts that would have him ignore his legislature in favor of executive control?  Aren't we seeing that already?
    • Huntsman? Right. Global warming, Obama insider, nah. Wouldn't trust him to hold the door for me.
    • Ron Paul?  Sure.  If we want the world to sneak up on us while we ain't looking. Sorry squeaky, I voted for you in 1988.  George senior was THAT BAD.
    • Santorum. Not sure..  Just don't know enough. Seems like a good conservative.
    • Michele Bachmann lost 10 points fast when she endorsed Pete Hoekstra.  It was not coincidental, and was a dumb play.
    • Bill Still?  Sorry, no one knows who you are.

The guy who was (YES) speaking on foreign policy at Hillsdale tonight, Herman Cain, is my guy.  In fact, for anyone who has the most basic sense of who we are as a country would be supportive of this bootstrap success story out of Atlanta.  His mission each time accepted, has produced more than satisfactory results, and frankly most of what he says cuts the BS out of the equation.

And this country has seen more than enough bi-partisan BS to fertilize for the world.

But the producers cannot let this man win the contest.  It would be unacceptable to allow such a challenger of the status quo to go any further.  It would be dangerous to the progressives on both sides of the aisle to see someone who knows how to identify core problems.  Heaven forbid an inexperienced non-politico type might have the keys to the car and take a road as-yet un-taken.

So he will be destroyed.  Partly through accurate representation of his ability to deal with a sycophant media which fawns over the crumbs left by the current heretic in charge, and mostly through an incredible effort to destroy him through hearsay and libel.

But he is now a politician.  He cannot be libeled according to all interpretations of law.  As was done with another wonderful conservative who once ran for Vice President, he too shall be impugned as unworthy, a boor, and a cheat. And his family will suffer for his crime.

That of one who would dare take on an established set of rules that say compromise is key, that government knows best, and that man is far above God's grade.

So I am a little down.

I don't much like this show today, and I am disappointed with my countrymen who might not be able to understand why.

Let Boehner's words ring loudly in your head.  The bottom is yet to be seen, my friend.  What I believe we are watching is the successful destruction of the TEA movement by the Progressive Ruling Class currently helmed by the DNC, and the TEA "Party" death fart has shat the resulting salamandric Gingrich rebirth.  The grassroots that built the anti-establishment threat has exposed their capricious soft underbelly for impalement by treacherous shoals with miasmic personas.

No, J-man.  We have not reached bottom.  Much like the GoverNerd's Reinvented Michigan, we are on a glide path hovering just above.

. . . scelus is fecit (for whom the crime advances, he has done it).  Figure out whom this smear campaign most benefits, and you have probably learned whose staff has engineered it.

Why not look at Santorum? (none / 0) (#4)

You're supporting a candidate who seems to draw a new allegation of sexual misconduct every other week and can't put together a coherent response to basic questions about foreign policy. These factors effectively render Cain unelectable, both in the primary and the general election. So why not look at the other guy who seems like he may be acceptably conservative to you? Mind you, I don't support either candidate, but it just seems to me that when you have two palatable candidates, you go with the one who isn't riddled with scandals. Especially when the candidate dealing with the scandals has made massive campaign gaffes that can literally be played back word-for-word without commentary in a negative Democratic campaign ad.

. . . is known (though I've discussed it before), of the nine candidates considered credible in this presidential primary contest, my choice -- until further notice -- is Herman Cain.

The progressiveist-elites who desire nothing other than to retain and consolidate their hold on power cannot stand even the thought that, were liberty to be truly restored to this land, that which they lust for with an unmatched passion will be stripped from their hands and restored to the people, where it truly belongs.  Thus threatened, they will respond by any means necessary to neutralize the one who spearheads this threat.

I don't think anyone has all the answers. I do believe in prayer.

Regardless of the circumstances seen, lets pray and then trust God with the answer, whatever that may be.

I pray that Cain and his campaign will have all they need to succeed, especially wisdom. I pray that Cain's thoughts and words will be wise beyond my imagination and that God will surround them with peace that surpasses understanding. I pray that Herman Cain will find great favor and that the people of this country will have eyes and ears for the truth. May the wisdom and God's peace reign over all. Amen!
